What this is

An organization, held together.

The Advisor’s Year puts you in a role most games skip past: the volunteer a fraternity actually runs on. Four chapters answer to you at once, each with its own membership numbers, its own bank balance, and its own distance from trouble.

One of them isn’t a chapter yet. Guiding that colony to its charter is the long project sitting underneath every week’s smaller fires.

Behind the game

Why a fraternity region is a game.

A regional advisor’s job already has a game’s shape: several organizations pulling on one person’s limited attention, growth and money moving in different directions, and a long-term goal—the charter—that only lands if the short-term problems keep getting answered.

That’s the pattern Brand New Colors looks for in a subject: real roles, competing needs, and decisions the people inside the world would recognize as theirs.
